Story
The movie starts with a man named Maharaja working at another barbershop. He has a daughter and a wife, but his wife dies in an accident. After an accident, Maharaja cares for his daughter and opens his salon.
Maharaja goes to the police station to write an FIR for a theft report from his dustbin, named Lakshmi. The police and Maharaja start searching for the dustbin. During the investigation, it shows some thieves who not only rob houses but also rape the girl present there.
One of the thieves, Selvam, has a wife and daughter; he loves them very much. Maharaja helps the police catch a gang of thieves, and one of them, Selvam, wants to take revenge on him. It is revealed that the same thieves had raped Maharaja’s daughter, but when they found nothing else to steal, they took the dustbin from his house.
Maharaja had reported catching the thieves, and during the investigation, it was revealed that one of the thieves was a police officer. Maharaja starts killing the thieves one by one. In the end, it is revealed that the girl who was raped by thieves is not Maharaja’s daughter, but the daughter of Selvam, the thief who had raped her daughter. When he realizes this, he cries a lot and commits suicide, but now his daughter is considered a Maharaja daughter, and the film ends.

Vijay Sethupathi is giving a stellar performance and a suspenseful story with an emotional twist that makes the movie fabulous. The movie shows collective moments like gasps, tears, laughter, and anger.
However, few people have found the slow narration and underdeveloped characters to be drawbacks. Overall, Maharaja is an engaging film with strong performances.
